We are the pupils......from the XI Liceum St. Konarskiego in Wroclaw. We are representing Poland in Kaariku and we would like to share with we you our feelings about the GLOBE meeting in Estonia. Our trip to Estonia took 21 hours. When we arrived to Kaariku we were tired and confused. Fortunately Estonians welcomed us warm. This makes us feel better. At the first day we were situated in the rooms. Later organisers showed us a presentation of Estonia. They told as the story of their country and they showed regional dances. We enjoyed it very much. On Thursday was the official opening ceremony. After opening ceremony, on the conference we presented our job in GLOBE. We were very nervous and uncenten about our speech. Everything went OK. As we saw every delegation made a hard work. We were impressed by two last presentations of the GLOBE trainers, who were talking about GLOBE measurements. After lunch the GLOBE teachers masters us with secrets of next day expedition. In the evening there was the open fire and we had discussion about Kyoto protocol. Wednesday - the day of the expedition. Everybody was excited and a little bit nervous, even us. We meet at nine to start walking. In reality there wasn't any reason for feeling uncomfortable. The atmosphere was just great! We even make some friends. Except fun, we had a lot of work to do. We measured soil, water and land cover. After our back to Sport Centre we analysed the samples we collected - that was very interesting and we had opportunity to learn something new. After dinner we helped teachers to make presentations to show the results of the expedition. Now we are siting in a computer room and writing this article for you…See you tomorrow because during the last hour in the next sale is disco and we want to go there. Hi again! It is Thursday (the last day of meeting in Kaariku). According to yesterday disco, it was just great!!!! We haven't got so good fun from many years. The disco ended at two o'clock but we had left earlier. But let's go back to Thursday. Today breakfast stared sooner what made that we had to get up whole hour earlier. After the meal it was the presentation of yesterdays trip's results. Our presentation was well welcomed and we were happy from that. At eleven o'clock started the GLOBE games. We took part in one of them - the pH game. It was quite fun. Before us is only the closing ceremony. We are not shore if we will be allowed to describe this ceremony.
